Welcome REESE to our team!

A new nurse practitioner at Paperflower? REALLY? YES!
And he's starting tomorrow!
He'll be doing his Paperflower orientation at my house for the next month..so you might hear my screaming toddler in the back or maybe some songs about dinosaurs. I apologize in advance.
Let me tell you a little about this dude and why we decided to let him join our team..
He spent some time as a registered nurse on a neuro unit, as a COVID nurse and also a PACU nurse at the VA. He has strengths in working with those with a history of brain injury, and is definitely familiar with working with veterans.
He plays in a doom metal band, so ya know, that's cool. He's an activist and totally committed to justice for patients which is probably what sold me. He's an active member of Healthcare Rising Arizona, where they work to pass ballot initiatives that favor access to care and patient protections.

If you're worried about having a dude as an NP -- I'm not gonna lie.. I was hesitant to hire another dude.. But Reese was a total teddy bear during our interview. I would have no hesitation about anyone finding him easy to talk to or confide in. Plus he's a dad. He has some dad vibes going for him.

His goal as your psych NP..
My mission as a PMHNP is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to those experiencing mental illness, while also increasing access to mental health care for all individuals. I believe in tailoring treatment plans to meet each person's unique needs, and staying up-to-date with the latest research and treatment modalities in the field. Above all, I am committed to treating every person with kindness, empathy, and respect, recognizing that mental illness can be a challenging and isolating experience. My goal is to advocate for and provide evidence-based mental health treatments, ultimately helping individuals achieve their fullest potential in all areas of their lives.
He's going to have some weekend availability opening up over the next few weeks. Keep your eyes open and welcome this rad dude to our team.
