Hello everyone!

 

I was previously a registered nurse at Banner Behavioral Health. Prior to that, I have also spent four years working at a pediatric autism clinic as a behavioral health technician. What made me want to further my studies was working as a nurse in both the intensive care unit and inpatient psych unit. During my time there, I saw the extreme need for mental healthcare providers as I worked with exhausted families, sick patients, and burnt-out medical staff. One of my goals is to be able to help provide mental health services for a diverse population group! I would like to increase access to care for people who normally do not seek mental healthcare services such as overworked healthcare staff, caregivers, minority groups, and people who suffer from chronic
illnesses. I am passionate about increasing mental healthcare awareness and decreasing the stigmas associated with mental health.

I am also fluent in both Spanish and English! During my free time, you can find me exploring the outdoors which includes hiking, swimming, and soaking in the sun at the beach!
